Strategic Philanthropy: value, sustainability and culture at the first event of the series promoted by Banca Generali and TARGET

Events

On Tuesday, 21 October, the Training & Innovation Hub of Banca Generali hosted the first event in the series dedicated to strategic philanthropy, promoted by Banca Generali together with TARGET, with the aim of exploring the role of philanthropy as a driver of sustainability, value, and dialogue between private individuals, businesses, and culture.

The evening opened with introductory remarks by Maria Ameli, Head of Wealth Advisory at Banca Generali, and TARGET Partner Pietro Michele Villa, who emphasised how philanthropy—when managed strategically—can serve as a key component of ESG policies and an investment in reputation, culture, and community.

The panel “Cross-Border Philanthropy”, moderated by Prof. Guido Guerzoni, brought together diverse perspectives and expertise to discuss international synergies between foundations, cultural institutions, and private donors, focusing on the tax and operational aspects of cross-border giving.

Speakers included Alfredo Malguzzi, Giulia Tosetti, and Ursola Rimbotti.

A sincere thank you to all speakers and attendees for their valuable contributions and interest.
